As most of us know, The Grammy awards were televised on CBS last night. I’m not a huge fan of award shows but, just like the MTV video awards, The Grammy’s must not be missed. Filled with performances, besides, a well deserved and fun tribute to the Four Tops, I was most moved by Adele who won the Grammy for Best New Artist for her song Chasing Pavements. It’s rare that a woman with pipes like hers comes along. Her vocals are amazing and her live performance was beautiful.
Equally as impressive, but in his own unique way, was Justin Timberlake’s performance with rapper T.I. The composition of their song Dead and Gone really shined through with live strings and J.T. on the keys.
Have a listen to both Adele and J.T.’s and T.I’s songs below and be sure to check out the Four Tops performance featuring Ne-Yo, Jamie Foxx and others in honor of the Four Tops wining the Lifetime Achievement Grammy Award. They’re still able to swing it after more than 40 years. Now that’s impressive!
** JT & T.I’s track coming soon**
